My name is Dan Franden and I have always liked working with wood. I put myself through college working construction, and then started a career teaching mathematics. I continued working construction on our house as a DIYer (as I still do), until I finally got to a place where I had collected enough tools and had the space and time to start creating art out of wood. I found that I like working with wood to create functional living art for people to enjoy in their daily lives. Every piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. All of the wood is scrap that I collect and repurpose.
